The long-term internship is for people who want to go deep. Six months is enough time to go from “I understand the codebase” to “I’m driving product decisions and shipping features independently.”
What Makes This Different
Most internships give you a sandbox project that never sees users. Here, you work on production products from day one. The code you write will be used by real people. The features you design will be evaluated by the market.
The Journey
Over six months, you’ll typically progress through:
- Month 1 — Onboarding, understanding existing products, shipping your first small features
- Months 2–3 — Owning larger features, participating in product decisions, understanding user feedback
- Months 4–5 — Driving features independently, contributing to architecture, mentoring newer team members
- Month 6 — Full ownership of a product area, user acquisition participation, preparing handover documentation
What You Get
- Deep experience building production SaaS products
- Understanding of the full product lifecycle — not just development
- Proficiency with AI-native development tools and workflows
- A strong reference and portfolio pieces
- Understanding of what it takes to run a software product business
