I can, and I will !!
When I read the following quote today, courtesy the Directives by Samuel Thomas Davies, I thought I should write what I have believed and learnt so far in my life about being able to achieve. Achieve anything that we desire, really.

I also recollect the philosophy of Krishna, from Oshoโs book: Krishna, The Man and His Philosophy, that life is always about this and that, never this or that. It is not about giving up one for the other. It is not black or white. It is always black and white and everything in between.
From a book I really like, 13 Steps to Bloody Good Luck by Ashwin Sanghi, being prepared to receive the opportunity is important. Preparation does not come with a single day, or moment. It means that you have to continuously be thinking, and acting, to become an expert at something. It is about people knowing that you are passionate about something, so when they have a need, you are the go-to person for them. It is only when you are ready that you will see the opportunity that is thrown your way. But you will not see it unless it is continuously in your subconscious, like with solutions that come to you only when you are not actively thinking about the problem.
And from Atomic Habits by James Clear, get better by 1% every day. Every day is a representation for continuously and 1% talks about incremental progress. Keep getting better at whatever you are thinking, doing, and want to do. Normally, when you are passionate about something, you read and learn about it all the time. So in effect, you do get better at it all the time.
Couple this with the 10,000-hour rule from Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell, The Power of Your Subconscious Mind by Joseph Murphy, and you know the direction everyone is heading.
I was reminded of a daily assertion that a friend recently mentioned that is very powerful: โI accept myself with all my imperfections and strengths. I know and understand that I can make things happen, in my life. I know that I can positively impact the lives of my loved ones and those who trust me.โ
Putting all these together gets me to the life reality we see everywhere around us. People become big overnight successes after years of spending time on their passion. Not because they got lucky, but because they improved bit by bit, being prepared to accept failure along the way, being persistent, and showing perseverance because it is their passion and their desire to make an impact.
A lot of people cannot get there because they are stuck. Because they do not have a mental framework to work with. Because they do not have anyone to talk to about their challenges. Because they do not know who to trust. A lot of people let their dreams die because they think that is life.
I urge you, please reach out. The internet has made the world a small place. There are so many good souls who are more than willing to help you stay connected to your dreams, not lose hope, and understand that there is light at the other end of the tunnel.
All the books mentioned above have examples of people who made it through. You can too. Just say:
