AI Tech tools and the Per Engineer Tax !!
Over the past week, I have been looking for alternatives to GitHub Copilot for my team, specifically because we use Business plan and the $20 per month felt like it was not getting me much.
I am much wiser now having evaluated a bunch of free and low cost options, all in the same range, for use cases involving product management, vibe coding, bug fixing, and other smaller ones.
These exercises, running over 60 hours in the last 3 days, have given me conviction that secure development environments are key to working with these tools.
