My life’s journey has taken me through lot of fun learnings. People would call them though, but I like being a more learned person today, than I was yesterday.

In this journey, I have talked to a lot of people. Students, their parents, their counsellors, their teachers, employees of small and large technology companies, and entrepreneurs.

If I can summarize my learnings from those, it is this.

कर्मण्ये वाधिकारस्ते मा फ़लेशू कदाचन

The only thing in our control is the deeds we do in the present. Be honest to your ethics in the moment. The interpretation of the results will change with time, because it is always in hind sight. The more life you experience, the more interpretations of the same event, hence the more interpretations of the results.

I am a doer, and a thinker. I can be tactical in one moment, and a strategist in the next. As leaders, we cannot get stuck in one definition of our personality. Being aggressive tactically is as critical as talking a pause for ensuring the direction is correct.

I am sure you are doing that too.

At the risk of being banned from your feed, i would like to add that as people who are running with our passion often undersell our work to ourselves. We glorify certain aspects, essentially things that are top of mind, while missing the more subtle and yet important parts.

Neelam Talera your aggressive actions to approach customers comes from your networking, connections and other softer observations. Your ‘talking to founders’ and making time for knowledge and connections shows. That is the only thing that matters.

Being ready and open for opportunities, so that when they come you can grab them with both hands. That is the hard work that differentiates the lucky ones from the others.
