Work 70hrs in early Career ?
I read the message, in Mr Murthy’s statement, as bring the passion to the table, and put in all your heart to that.
If the two extremes of work around passion are considered, there will be those who work just because they have to get life going, and then there are those who will bring jn the passion to follow their dreams, and burn the mid night oil to make it happen, against all odds.
These will both look at work as a Job, and hence will not be bound by time. They may pick up multiple work pieces running in parallel, or just simply get more dine in a week, to have the edge over others.
Mr Murthy is hinting at the ‘fire in the belly’ element for the youth. With the riches, come complacency. With ‘security’ comes the ‘taken for granted’ attitude. And neither help in nation building.
There will be place for everyone in all industries. But, we should promote the idea of ‘a lot needs to be done’, instead of, take your own time.
