The ‘safety net’

When organisations form, the ‘next line’ is always looking up to the existing leaders.

Two aspects that need to show:

  • The calm and peace in handling everything
  • The unconditional support for the team

When the current leadership starts taking up newer responsibilities, and puts the ‘next line’ in front, it is important to see continuity.

They are looking for the ‘safety net’. They are looking for the ‘i am here if you need help or guidance, but you need to take the decision’.

Can you give this to them ? Are you a leader who sticks around, or do you vanish after handing the baton ?
