What is Internship ?
Let me express my perspective of the meaning of internship.
Its the stage in education where the ‘academic’ knowledge will be put to use and the ‘intern’ will get added skills.
With this strict definition, internships should be part of every curriculum. 3-6 months of working with experience in the industry can change perspectives.
So, what should the ‘internee’ company pay for ? They are already paying for the mentor’s time, with no expected returns.
If the company can afford it, as a ‘advertising’ for future hires, they can pay whatever amount they want. If they are going to be able to monetise the work the intern is doing, should definitely pay at the same level as they would have paid an employee to do that work.
From the interns perspective, to get a formal education, you would have paid fees to the institute. So, if the company you are working with does not pay, you should not be appreciative they did not all you to pay for the mentor’s time.
The intern should really only be concerned with the quality of mentorship they can get. The rest will follow.
It’s difficult to find experienced mentors, ethical companies, and good human beings to work with.
At Ozone API, you will get a chance to work with all three. And every person who works here, gets exposure to all parts of the business, not only tech. What more van you ask ?
And, before you ask, we will pay to cover basic costs for our interns.
