Development environment in the times of Work From Home

2020 has been the year all companies promoted work from home for the more employees. This has raised interesting opportunities for tooling companies.

Here is my blog post on were we stood, something that feels like 10 years ago, but was really fewer than that, and where we may be going.

Lot of the learnings, came from me pushing these workflows, I think as early as 2005, when we embraced VMware technologies for our development workflows at Symantec.

I also remember pushing for similar workflows at VMware when I worked with the NSX in the whereabouts of 2008-9 because the dev boxes needed to be larger than the laptops we carried.

But, since then, the same has just become more accessible even to the single person team.
