Migrating an existing Java/SpringBoot or NodeJS/Express/PM2 app from a ‘single machine’ to a Kubernetes based infrastructure is interesting.
I read a lot of articles, and it’s interesting that every application is different in its own right. Because it has best practices from the time it was first written and some that it acquired along the way.
The applications I am working with right now, one on the SpringBoot/Postgres stack, and the other on Node/Express/Mongo stack, have so many similarities and differences that it makes my experience richer when dealing with them.
Are you looking for advise on migrating your Java/SpringBoot/PostgreSQL, Node/Mongo, or Python/Django/PostsgreSQL app to k8s ?
I have experience, on the application code side, on how to prepare for the transition.
The infra / DevOps engineers will be happier when you give them code that is ready for the transition.
I can make the code changes, as well as mentor the current team to do it themselves. I am really good as a sounding board too.
