Learning new tools is such a great experience

Learning new tools is such a great experience.

It’s not necessary to use those, just learn how to use them. It allows you to get a new perspective on how things can be done. New approaches to the age old problems.

I am doing courses on NodeJS/Express/MongoDB. They are helping me become a better programmer. Connect with the basics. Open up to new ways of solving problems that I thought could not be done better. Expose me to new programming paradigms and structure.

Heck, JavaScript even forced Java to innovate and add functional programming concepts.

Not necessary that I use JavaScript (though I’m starting to love it, except for the missing type safety). But I will build better APIs and APJ servers when I code in Java now, because of what I just learnt.

Udemy courses are great. People are doing some nice projects in courses.

Keep learning. Keep becoming 1% better every day.
