I wonder why people send out unsolicited connect requests on LinkedIn. Every time I see a request, I am inclined to mark that request as spam. This would impact their ratings within the system and potentially blacklist their account if sufficient number of people do that.

I think these people should be sending InMail with intent clearly called out.

Don’t want to share my connects with any marketing person. I keep the setting to ‘Dont share my contacts with others’. So you don’t gain by connecting to me.

These are people I have ‘earned’ over a life time. Not cheap ‘contact’. So stay away, spend some money, and be ethical.
